I hope you are enjoying your Countdown to Christmas and have started to prepare some of the delicious recipes ready for your Christmas Dinner celebration. If not, then don’t worry it’s not too late to have a perfectly relaxed and delicious meal which you can prepare plenty of the evening or day before. I covered the recipe for Christmas Pudding in time for Stir-up Sunday but you can still make a delicious dessert before Christmas Day. You might not have time to decorate your Christmas Cake with royal icing but you can make a traditional fruitcake ready to have with a cup of tea once your Christmas Dinner is finished.
Before you start why not treat yourself and your guests to a glass of sweet, spiced Mulled wine. I have posted some ideas for some tasty soups and pate as starters for your Christmas Dinner, a recipe for fail-safe roast Turkey, gravy, and an awesome American-style stuffing not forgetting that most traditional of accompaniments bread sauce and some ideas for glazing a festive Christmas Ham. To accompany these you will find three recipes for potatoes for you to choose your ultimate favourite. This week I will post some recipes for some last minute biscuits and bakes to finish off the big day.
